    I was considering leaving Giganews till I read this review. Most reviews are years out of date. The download speed is an issue. Plus Giganews are offering a free upgrade to their platinum plan for two months at the moment. Descision made to stick with Giganews

    Since Giganews is quite "expensive" compared to others (I am paying approx. 25 USD a month), I decided to give another company a go, which are cheaper and also provide unlimited speeds and SSL.

    Newshosting are advertising that their speeds are unlimited and uncapped, however I just took a test and signed up for an account (Unlimited Package).

    I still had my account at Giganews active as well so I could compare both with each other.

    As you can see there is a difference between the two! At Giganews I could easily download (and maintain) my maximum internet download speed; 10.5 MB/s, while at Newshosting I was limited to 7.85 MB/s!

    So Newshosting is not providing you with an unlimited account as advertised.

    On a sidenote; when I reported this at support, they said that they couldn't help me with copyrighted material? What the ....? I only asked about their so-called Unlimited Package and it's not-so unlimited speed.

    Guess they didn't like my question. As a result I am going to share my experiences with the rest of the world and I of course canceled my account right away at Newshosting.

    The main reason for me to try something else, was the monthly price at Giganews. However when I am cut back on the maximum download speed, I will happily stay at Giganews and pay some more....

    Not sure what the price lisings are.
    Is it $14.95 per month for 30 connections and 19.95 per month for 60 connections?

    Just not sure if $14,95 is ment as $14.95.

    If so I'm liking the price.
