Easynews Comments

Easynews has built a good reputation based on quality and customer satisfaction. They continue to be among the best usenet services in the industry. However nowadays they do not improve their retention, concurrent connections and accessable newsgroups.

  This review isn't exactly accurate. For instance the retention isn't accurate above. Easynews has a retention of about 1200 days on their NNTP servers but they do only have about 200 days of retention on their web servers.
  
  Also the big Gig plan includes unlimited downloads from the NNTP server for the same $29.94/month price.
  
  
  One other point is that Easynews provides both US and EU server farms which can be useful for EU users.

  Ive been with Easy News for just over 9 years and have always been happy with thier service, retention and speed. They are one of the few companies that offer a service I have always been happy to pay for. *****

  Indeed the web interface is a handy tool, you can download easily through your browser (it doesn't take any memory).
  
  However Easynews does only give access to 57,000 newsgroups, while Usenetserver and Newshosting are giving access to over 100,000 newsgroups. If you combine one of them with Grabit, you're downloading just as easy, only with a bit more memory usage.

  The Global Search and Web Interface of this provider alone are worth the $9.98 a month. I have been with EasyNews since 2000 and never had a problem. Download speed is good and solid. They also have roll-over so your money buys you your Gigs and it is up to you when you use them! The only limit that could be an issure for some would be a 200 file a day posting limit. That has never been an issure for me.
